Fall 2019 One Room Challenge with Better Homes and Gardens Progress

Happy Fall Y’all! It is finally starting to feel like plaid weather around here, and I am so stoked! Texas definitely takes its time when changing into the cooler weather, but when it does, it’s so welcoming.

You have heard me talk about our living space renovation with One Room Challenge, and it is time to show you the progress. We are definitely not done, but the statements are starting to come to life.

In these photos, you will see child safe bar stools from one of our favorite wholesalers, Home Pop, a reading area with timeless linen stripe chairs that were also provided by Home Pop, an antique leaf table from Jason’s grandmother, as well as, and under $50 DIY wood fireplace mantle that gives a sweet farmhouse feel to the entire space.

We gave a bit of character to the rug by shifting it in front of the fireplace, and added a simple pop to our This Is Us wall by painting the letters champagne gold.

In the next few weeks, I would love to see us finish up the fireplace by adding the peel and stick honeycomb tile we purchased and chatted about a while back, curtains to the reading area to give it a cozy feel, and hopefully a black and white textured rug to give the space a more modern farmhouse vibe.

Have thoughts on what you would do to finish off this space? Share them in comments! We always love to hear from you!
