You guys! My blog is finally live! It has been such a worldwide trying to get this thing up and running on a budget, but here it is! Both Jason and myself feel like we should put WordPress masters on our resumes now…. Just saying!
While this task was not easy, there were lots of google searches, support calls, trial and errors – we learn a lot.
It seems like most use WordPress.com which is great if you are a new to building websites on WordPress like me. You simply pick out your theme, and they basically do the rest for you. While that is great, and user friendly, it can also become costly. With Jason still in between jobs, I needed something that was basically on the free end. And, other than paying $15 a month to GoDaddy for hosting, this has been the “freest” option.
I chose GoDaddy because I have had my URL’s with them since 2014, so I know how they operate, and they know me. I have heard they are not the best option, and I can see why… we have had a few issues, but overall it has worked out so far. The most suggested option is Bluehost.com
I have had the blog since the summer of 2018, but learned at the Thrive Conference that social media could crash at any moment and that is not something I own. What if that did happen? Where would my followers find me? MY BLOG! So, I needed the best source, and that is WordPress.
Definitely take a look around. I don’t want to bore you with a bunch of website technical terms, but if you have any questions about starting your own blog, please reach out! I’m here to help.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and please subscribe! I can’t wait to continue this journey with you!
